A Macon church kicked off its 15th annual Drive-Thru Nativity. Animals, the wise men and baby Jesus were some of the highlights at Riverside United Methodist Church Thursday night.
It took hundreds of volunteers and dozens of hours to put on the display. Nearly 4,000 cars rolled through the nativity scene last year and organizers hope even more will enjoy their gift to the community this time around.
"Our goal is just to love the neighborhood regardless of who they are, where they are, where they came from and so we thought the easiest way to do that was not to invite them to a place they've never been before, but to come see something," explained Minister Steve Waldorf, Riverside United Methodist Church.
The Drive-Thru Nativity is free and open to the public Friday and Saturday between 6:30pm-9:30pm. Riverside UMC is located on Pierce Avenue in Macon.
