There are new details surrounding a violent fight at Hancock State Prison. According to an incident report from the Georgia Department of Corrections, 14 inmates and one staff member were injured after a fight broke out the day after Thanksgiving following the stabbing of another inmate. The fight started just before 7pm. Throughout the course of the night inmates set fires, destroyed offices and equipment and got into administrative offices by using fire extinguishers to destroy locks. Several law enforcement agencies were called in to contain the riot.
