The Presidential Election is a year away and a Middle Georgia man is joining the race to be our nation's next Commander in Chief.
Donald Boyer, is running as a write-in candidate. He has already registered in more than 30 states as a presidential hopeful.
"I don't want to hear people crying that they don't have a choice, 'We don't want Republicans. We don't want Democrats'. You have a choice, now," says Boyer.
The Macon resident ran in 2004 and 2008 as a write-in candidate and hopes the third time is the charm.
If elected, he'll freeze taxes, and end U.S involvement in foreign wars. "Why not freeze taxes. There's a lot of people that can't pay their taxes," says Boyer. He also adds, "I want world peace. Wars aren't solving anything. They're just wasting a lot of money."
Boyer says as president he'll have an open door policy. "I want to be open to businesses. I want to do everything I can for businesses...anything that the people need I want to be here for the people."
According to Boyer there are too many agendas in Washington, it's a big problem he wants to squash.
"I don't have any special interests. My special interests are going to be you," says Boyer.
Boyer says it's about doing what's right. "I won't promise you the world and once I get into office don't deliver. I will deliver. I'm not a liar," says Boyer.
