At tonight's pre-council meeting, a $25,000 item on the purchasing bid list raised many questions from council members.
The item is a study commissioned by the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. It would create a master plan for recreation in the city of Warner Robins.
Councilman Bob Wilbanks says the city does need help with a plan, but he tells us he wasn't happy about seeing this proposal for the first time as a part of puchasing bids.
"Before we spend $25,000... right now, we're asking people if can raise their taxes, and we're spending $25,0000 here, $100,000 there. As some of the council has said we've done studies before, and they're still sitting on the table, and nothing has happened."
Willbanks says he's more than happy to consider this study as an option for the city. He believes the Middle Georgia Regional Commission should bring a proposal to council before any money is spent.
