In a room full of people, the Board of Education officially swore in two members today.
Dr. Wanda West was sworn in as a first-time board member. Dr. West says she is looking forward to helping the school system here in Macon and Bibb County.
"I am very excited about joining this team and forging directions for the growth of the students here," West said.
Lynn Farmer was also sworn in for her third term as a board member. She says she is excited and blessed to have the support of the community to have elected her for a third term.
The Board of Education Committee met after the swearing in for its regular scheduled meeting.
