The City of Macon honored 3 employees who each had more than 40 years of service Tuesday night.
At a retirement ceremony the three unveiled bronze plaques in their honor all while being surrounded by former co-workers and city officials including Mayor Robert Reirchert.
Lewis Clowers worked with the Parks and Recreation Department for 41 years. Robert Robinson Jr. also with Parks and Recreation, and Police Captain Guyton Carr Jr., both served the city for 42 years.
Mayor Reichert told a crowd of close to two dozen that over the course of the 40+ years the men have worked for the city 8 U.S Presidents have been in office and the men have worked under 9 different mayors.
