Senator Saxby Chambliss spoke to the Macon Rotary Club today,
addressing what he says is the country's most important issue-
the debt ceiling.
The Q and A luncheon with the senator was held at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown macon.
Senator Chambliss said the nation's debt problem is a critical issue which needs immediate attention.
He said another big problem is the continual loss of funding for things like
"Spending has been run away in Washington for the last several years. And it's not just democrats, it's not just republicans. It's been a good combination of both," Chambliss said.
Senator Chambliss says luncheons like these, are a good way to interact with people, and really get to know what they want.
