The person who was found with stolen items from Peach County High School is now out of the hospital. According to Maj. Lawrence Spurgeon with Fort Valley Police, Amos Lawrence suffered from possible nerve damage and injury to his arm after he was shot at the Lakeview Apartments when a card game turned violent last month. When police were investigating that incident, they found items in Lawrence's car linked to a November robbery at Peach County High Schools field house.
The findings and evidence are being reviewed by Fort Valley Police and the GBI. The DA will then determine if there's enough evidence to take Lawrence to trial before a grand jury. $10,000 in cash was also stolen from the Peach County Field House.
