"Finding Your Roots" In Middle Georgia

Written by Ashley Minelli on . Posted in Local

People all over America are fascinated by where they came from. Ancestry.com and shows like "Who Do You Think You Are" are urging people to dig a little deeper into the past.

Earl Colvin, director of the Cannonball House, says researching genealogy is helping people link the past to their future.

"I think it gives people a sense of connection, it gives them a sense of knowing who their ancestors were and what role they played in the founding of America."

The Cannonball House will be holding a genealogy workshop, "Finding Your Roots", on May 21st from 10 am until 2pm. The workshop will be a beginners course in researching your family lineage. For more information call (478) 745-5982.
