Crawford County Middle School suffered major storm damage Tuesday morning. A straight line of heavy winds lifted the roof off the building, peeling the metal over the back of the school.
Four classrooms were forced to close down because of the damage displacing around 80 students.
“Fortunately we had classrooms that were available. We were able to move those displaced students into the classrooms. Class as usual has moved on as usual here at Crawford Middle School,” said Principal Anthony English, Crawford County Middle School.
Students will remain in the alternate classrooms until repairs can be made to the school. English says he isn't sure how long that will take.
