MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - WiPro, a company hired to install new LED lights throughout the Bibb County School System, has helped the Bibb County School Board save millions in energy costs.
While the board will spend a substantial amount of money to have the lights, the savings will be even bigger.
Kelley Castlin-Gacutan, Deputy Superintendent for School Operations, said the system enjoyed working with Wee-Pro.
""We cannot say enough about the partnership that we've been able to establish with WiPro," said Castlin-Gacutan. "They did an excellent job with customer service. Overall, we had an 80% response when people said they really saw the benefit that it was truly meeting our needs, so we think, that of the respondents--and there were 5 hundred and about 36 respondents who really gave us that feedback that which we were happy to get."
A WiPro representative at the meeting said because of the lights, the School System would be in the top 10% of the most energy efficient systems in the nation.
