ROBERTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Roberta man is facing charges for stealing gasoline from a fire truck.
According to a news release from the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, 23-year-old Quatavin Harris is a member of Fire Station 7 in Crawford County. Deputies charged him with two counts of first degree burglary and theft.
Fire Chief Randall Pate saw that gas had been stolen from the fire truck earlier this month and reported it the sheriff which prompted the investigation.
Harris was released from jail on Friday on a $60,000 bond.
