WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Houston County Sheriff's Office released new details about a double homicide that happened two weeks ago.
According to a news release, the sheriff's office has determined the murders were drug related and per-meditated. It states "the murder can be described as an execution type slaying."
The sheriff's office says investigators learned one of the victims, Ruben Miranda, had previous contact with suspect Coleman Crouch. On Sunday August 18, Miranda and the second victim, Shaldan McConnell, met with Crouch and the two other suspects, Thomas Kelly and Justice Bernard Evans. At some point that night, investigators say both victims were shot and killed by the suspects.
After the shooting, the murder suspects loaded the victims into a truck and dumped their bodies in a wooded area Georgia Highway 41/49 and North Houston Lake Road.
Investigators say two females cleaned up the scene and tried to get rid of evidence. One of the woman, Amy Walker, remains in custody at the Houston County Detention Center. The sheriff's office has warrants on the other woman, 18-year-old Kristen Beuthin of Longanville, Georgia. She is charged with concealing a death of another and tampering with evidence.
The investigation is still ongoing.
