The event was held Thursday at Alexander Ballroom located at 3670 Eisenhower Parkway.
Students and their parents formed a line which wrapped around the ballroom plaza into the parking lot.
Organizers passed out tickets to each student for entrance into the event. That way they could prevent overcrowing the ballroom.

"It's a blessing that the community is helping other people that need the extra help with the children or their grandchildren with school supplies," she said. "I'm glad that I'm here today to get the extra help."
