GEICO says it plans to hire an additional 230 workers for its regional office in Macon. The Maryland-based insurance company says it already employs 4,000 people in Macon and it's the company largest regional office.
GEICO says the jobs in the office's centralized services division will serve all 50 states, with a variety of positions including emergency roadside services representatives, glass claims reps, accident tow dispatchers and salvage & total loss specialists.
GEICO also will continue hiring sales, service and claims representatives for its regional auto insurance operations. The company says its Macon office serves 15 states and 1.8 million policyholders.
