MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The man arrested for the murder of a Hawkinsville will make his first appearance in court Thursday.
Macon police arrested 30-year-old Brandon Sherod Davis and charged him felony murder and a superior court probation violation.
Davis is accused of killing 26-year-old Chassisty LaShundra Lester. Her body was discovered in Houston County, but officers believe she died in a Macon home off Flamingo Drive.
According to the arrest warrant, Davis was the last person to see Lester alive. The warrant says Davis is described as "extremely jealous over the victim." It also states Lester was cheating on him and pregnant with another man's child.
Davis was denied bond. He will have commitment hearing on April 18th to explain the charges.
