MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- A new fitness center is moving into downtown Macon and the Dannenberg.
One of middle Georgia's most well-known health clubs, Kinetix, will fill the corner commercial space on the bottom of the building. Partners of the Dannenberg Project like NewTown Macon call Kinetix the perfect fit for this new addition to downtown living.
"When we brought Mark Cullars, the owner, downtown and showed him the space he really had a vision of what it could be and what it could mean for his gym and so it really was a win-win for everybody and we're thrilled to have them downtown," said Kris Hattaway, Director of Place, NewTown Macon.
The first group of tenants are expected to move in to the Dannenberg by midsummer and Kinetix should be ready by the end of the summer.
The downtown facility will also be open to non-resident members of the health club.
