Couple Robbed at Gunpoint in West Bibb County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a personal armed robbery that happened around 11:40 Monday night on Little Hickory Drive.

According to a news release, witness statements said a couple just arrived home when an armed suspect walked up from behind and demanded money. After the suspect fired a couple of shots into the air and took an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a 5'5 medium-build male with dark skin, possibly in his mid-thirties. He was wearing dark clothes and a hooded jacket.

No one was injured during the incident.
