High Winds Knock Rip Off Traffic Lights, Tree Blocking School

Written by Amanda Castro on . Posted in Local

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 41NBC was out Monday night canvassing the storm damage and found the effects of high winds in north Bibb County.

The storm took out two traffic lights at the intersection of Zebulon Road and Plantation Centre Drive. Drivers on the roadway were cautious driving through that area.

Less than a block away at Sonny Carter Elementary school, a tree fell down and blocked the exit to the school. That could cause problems for parents dropping off their kids in the morning.

41NBC will follow up with the Bibb County school district and update you when we have more information.
