Cherry Blossom Festival Takes Over Terminal Station

Written by Ashley Minelli on . Posted in Local

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- A dreary day didn't stop the cherry blossom festivities.

Monday afternoon. The Third Street Park activities were moved inside to Terminal Station where festival goers enjoyed cherry ice cream, pink frosted donuts, and live music.

The free sweet treats continue every day during the festival thanks to Kroger and Krispy Kreme.

Maconites say they love this time of year, not just for the free perks of the festival, but for the unity it spreads across the city.

"I've never seen people come together like they do in cherry blossom time. There's just something about it where everything's blooming and, all the activities going on," said Bonnie Auld.
