Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident in South Bibb County
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened Sunday night around 8, just south of Sardis Church Road.
According to a news release, a group of motorcyclists were traveling north on I-75 when 33-year-old Takisha Pittman lost control of her motorcycle, hit the saddle bag of the bike in front, then she and her motorcycle went down.
Pittman was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where she was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported. Investigators are still looking into why the motorcyclist lost control. Anyone with information should contact the Bibb Sheriff's Office at (478) 746-9441.
