Molotov Cocktail Thrown on Macon Porch

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon firefighters are investigating an attempted arson attack after someone threw a Molotov cocktail on a Macon porch early Tuesday morning.

Investigators say a man was inside the home on Capitol Avenue when he heard a noise outside. On his front porch, the man found a glass container filled with accelerant, a cloth and a fuse. He kicked it off the porch and it exploded.

Macon Fire Sgt. Ben Gleaton said the blaze was out when firefighters arrived and caused very little damage.
