Mid GA Man Accused of Killing Wife in Wooded Area

TWIGGS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - A Middle Georgia man is behind bars tonight in Twiggs  County, accused of murdering his wife of 19 days.

According to the Twiggs County sheriff's office, 45-year-old Marcus Hoskins turned himself in to the Jones County Sheriff's office this morning. He told authorities he shot his wife, 37-year-old Hurley Danielle Thompson in the torso several times in a wooded area near Bond Swamp on Highway 129.

He led authorities to her body, telling them it happened after "marital difficulties" and that he forced her to drive to the wooded area.

Hoskins is now charged with felony murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and several gun charges. He's being held without bond at the Twiggs County Law Enforcement Center.
