Demon Dress Drive Saves Cash, Helps Community

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Almost every teenage girl dreams of showing up to prom in a beautiful ball gown. For the 7th year in a row, Warner Robins High School is making that dream a little more affordable.

People lined the halls of Warner Robins High this weekend for the Demon Dress Drive. Students at the school collected gently used formal dresses and then sold them back to the community for a reasonable price. WRHS Student Council Sponsor Barbara Hilliard describes the drive is a multipurpose fundraiser. After the show is over, the money raised goes back to a community charity. This year the funds will be donated to Hodac in Warner Robins.

"These wonderful formal dresses have more than one wear in them," Hilliard said, "and if you take care of them, they can come back to us and they make many other people happy."
