UPDATE: Fatal Accident On Pio Nono Blocking Traffic

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- A man is dead after a fatal accident took place on the 4300 block of Pio Nono Avenue Friday morning, around 7A.M.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, a compact Cadillac was traveling south on Pio Nono when it ran under an 18-wheeler. The victim is 78-year-old Willie Evans, Sr. of Warner Robins.

Jones said the 18-wheeler appeared to be coming out of a side street onto Pio Nono. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

Authorities said clean up will take a couple of hours. This is an ongoing investigation.
