FITZGERALD, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - A former Dodge County School Board Member is in jail, and facing felony charges on 50 counts of deposit account fraud.
Kim Sheffield was arrested on November 28, 2012 by the Ben Hill County Sheriff's Office. According to their office, the warrant was issued by an unnamed individual against Sheffield.
A property bond has been set at $346,700. Sheffield must be able to prove he owns double that amount property that he doesn't owe any money on in order to post bond.
An official with the Dodge County School Board says Sheffield, who's served as a member since 2006, did not run for re-election for this year. His term expired in December 2012, while he was in jail.
