Family of Five Homeless After Fire Destroys Jones County Home

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - A family of five is homeless tonight, after a fire destroys their home in Jones County.

A call came in to the Macon-Bibb Fire Department around 7:30 tonight that a fire broke out at 3643 Champion Drive. 41 NBC's Jasmine Williams spoke with the Battalion Chief on the scene. He told her the blaze likely started in the utility room of the home.

The family stood by the end of the driveway and watched as their home was fully engulfed by the blaze. All of the family members got out safely. We'll have more on this story tonight on 41 NBC news at 11.
