New Year, New Perry Police Chief

Written by Jasmine Williams on . Posted in Local

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The city of Perry is kicking off the new year with a new police chief.

Houston County investigator Stephen Lynn accepted the position in December, but won't take office for another couple of weeks. Lynn has 34 years of experience under his belt. He hopes his leadership style will bring a fresh approach to protecting the city.

"My style is to go in and evaluate," Lynn said, "immerse myself in the culture and see the way they do things."

Perry's former police Chief George Potter retired in June due to health issues.
