Ice Skating All Week Long at Macon Centreplex
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - It's time to lace up your skates and enjoy a winter wonderland in Macon.
Everyone is invited to go ice skating at the Macon Centreplex. It's going on all week long and with school out for the Thanksgiving holiday, it is the perfect time to take your family.
There are four sessions a day, excluding Thanksgiving Day. It costs $8 or $10 depending on when you go. That fee also includes the skate rental.
Centreplex officials say this is an opportunity to show off your moves and get into the holiday spirit.
"Not a lot of times do we wake up and see ice or have the ability to stkae, so we brought that here and everyone has the opportunity to have a great time," David Higdon with the Macon Centreplex said.
Ice skating will be going on until January. It has been a Macon tradition for decades, dating back to when the city had its own ice hockey team.
