Laurens County Sheriff Deputies Arrest Two Men For Stealing Golf Carts

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Laurens County sheriff deputies arrested two men for stealing golf carts all throughout the county and they're still looking for other suspects.

The sheriff's office arrested 36-year-old Billy Francis and his brother 31-year-old Emory Francis. Investigators say they stole seven golf carts, repainted them, and then sold them to people all across the state.

All the golf carts have been found and returned to their owners.

The brothers were booked into the Laurens County jail. Billy Francis was charged with 8 counts of theft by taking and Emory Francis is charged with theft by receiving stolen property and giving false statements to law enforcement officers.

Both men have bonded out jail.

Investigators say there will be other arrests.
