WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (Houston County Schools)-- To help high school students with disabilities and their families plan for life after high school, the Houston County School System and Houston County Interagency Council will host its sixth annual Transition Fair.  The event will be Nov. 16, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Middle Georgia Technical College.

This Transition Fair focuses on high school students with all types of disabilities.  The Fair will offer students and their families the opportunity to meet with private and public agencies that provide a variety of transition support services.  The event is a convenient way to learn about resources available for transitioning youth.

Approximately 35 agencies are participating to include:  Disabilities Connections, Goodwill Institute, Happy Hour Service Center, Kay Center, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Phoenix Center, Social Security, Vocational Rehabilitation, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, Helm's College, Macon State College, Central Georgia Technical College and Middle Georgia Technical College.
