Taylor County Commissioner Race Heads to Runoff

BUTLER, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Voters in Taylor County will head back to the polls in December to decide who will represent the county in the County Commission District 4 seat.

Elections Supervisor and Probate Judge Dianne Renfroe certified the election results Friday afternoon. Commissioner Jerry Albritton and opponent Russell Pounds both had 343 votes, making it a tie. The two candidates will face off again December 4. Renfroe said the men have two business days to ask for a recount if they want one.
