Just before midnight on Thursday, a fire errupted in the attic of the one of the apartment complex buildings at the Houston Lake Apartment Community in Houston County.
The three story building was evacuated immediately, thanks to working smoke detectors, and neighbors banging on doors trying to get people out.
When the Perry and Warner Robins Fire Departments arrived on scene, fire was already billowing out of the roof.
Investigators say it is unlikely this was intentionally set, due to the fact it started in the attic of the building in a place no one could access.
It took firefighters more than 5 hours to battle the blaze. No injuries were reported.
