MACON, Georgia (41 NBC/WMGT) - With flu season quickly approaching (yikes!), getting that flu shot is as important as ever. Now, it's even easier and more convenient.
The Macon Bibb County Health Department is hosting its annual Drive Through Flu Clinic. It's this easy; drive your car up to the big blue tent, show your I.D. and insurance card, (they'll work with you if you don't have one) and stick your arm out of your window.
Linda Holland is a registered nurse with the Macon Bibb County Health Department. She's the boss in charge for this week's clinic. She says, this year they decided to make the clinic available for everyone, not just the elderly, for one simple reason.
"Customer service. Friendly customer service. We know people are rushed for time and things like this. And so this is one of the things we felt that we could do to kind of help people maximize their time," Holland explains.
You can roll through the clinic through Friday, September 21. It's open from 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. It is located at the Macon Bibb County Health Department. The address is 171 Emery Highway in Macon.
