Twelve Middle Georgia kids are taking a trip to Oz! The youngsters were chosen to be a part of the stage play, “The Wizard of Oz,” coming to the Grand Opera House this spring. They will join professional actors in the traveling show that stops in Macon.
Local Munchkin Coordinator, Sylvia Haynie, believes some of these young stars will make it big. “How much talent we have right here in Middle Georgia, I hope people will realize that one of these days the national tour is gonna come through town and some of these kids are gonna be in that cast,” said Haynie, Theatre Director of the Academy of the Performing Arts.
Kids from Perry, Warner Robins and Macon will be in the show. You can check them out March 15-16 at 7:30pm at the Grand Opera House. For ticket information, call (478) 301-5470.
