PAYNE CITY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Firefighters have been working all morning fighting a blaze at a vacant home in Payne City.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Cliff Rushin, firefighters responded to the blaze just after 7 this morning.
The home at 172 Gardner Street was completely engulfed by the flames. The fire spread to two other homes on either side of the house where the blaze started. No injuries were reported in this incident.
Rushin says there is no reason to suspect that this incident is connected to any of the fires seen last week in Macon. This case remains under investigation.
