MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Bibb County school officials are forming a discipline task force they say will help make schools in the area safer and more effective.
It's all part of Superintendent Dr. Romain Dallemand's controversial strategic plan, also known as "The Macon Miracle. The task force will consist of parents, administrators and teachers who will help revise school discipline policies.
The plan also names three schools as alternative learning centers for the 2012-2013 school year. Barden Elementary, Bloomfield Middle, and Northeast high schools were selected because of the separate wings they have, allowing students enrolled in the alternative learning centers to be kept separate from the general student population.
