WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Today, the city of Warner Robins joined the nation by unifying in prayer.
Community members and local religious leaders of all different faiths prayed for issues plaguing not only their city, but the rest of the country. Muggy Hanson who opened the prayer service today,
says because of this day, local religious leaders in Warner Robins meet once a week to pray together.
Hanson says prayer is a universal way to unite everyone.
"It's very important to come together on the things we agree on, and not on the things we don't," says Hanson.
Mayor Chuck Shaheen also welcomed the crowd inside the Council Chambers. He says even though they receive complaints about praying before meetings, they will continue the practice in hopes that god will guide them in their decision making.
