PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGFT)- The Houston County Friends of the Library kicked off its Annual Old Book Sale in Perry today. Hundreds of people came out to look for their favorite books. The book sale in Perry draws thousands of people each year, and this year was no different.
Book lovers have more than 64 categories of books to choose from. The president of the Houston County Friends of the Library said 170 people were in line before the sale started.
"I think what draws them to our sale is the bargains. We got so many books that are a dollar, 75 cents, 50 cents, "said Houston County Friends of the Library President Georgette Lipford.
The Annual old book sale is going on now through Saturday at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. Doors are open until 8 tonight. Friday the sale is going on from 9am-8pm and Saturday from 9am -3am. Admission is free.
