MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Applebee's is standing behind its neighborhood slogan. Six restaurants in middle Georgia will close for renovations.
The Applebees in Warner Robins, Dublin, Perry, and two locations in Macon will take part in the makeover.
The restaurant will hold silent auctions to sell memorabilia and money raised from the event will support local charities.
"We've got several different charities that we're involved with. The Macon locations are involved with the Methodist Children's Home. The Warner Robins location is donating all of it's proceeds to Autism Speaks and Dublin is going to be donating all of it's proceeds to the Humane Society and Red Cross," said Susan Hinson of Applebee's.
The restaurants will close for three days for improvements to be made on the interior and exterior.
The auctions are already underway and the closing dates are below:
Macon (Riverside Drive): Feb. 24th at close of business, to benefit Methodist Children's Home
Macon Mall: April 13 at close of business, to benefit Methodist Children's Home
Perry: April 13th at close of business; beneficiary TBD
Dublin: Auction will end at close of business on April 27th, to benefit the Humane Society
Warner Robins: Already Closed
