Monster Jam Blasts Off Tomorrow at the Macon Centreplex

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - The most awesome machines in motorsports are coming to the Macon Centreplex tomorrow.

The Monster Jam features 10,000 pound, 1,500 horsepower US hot rod monster trucks and will be led by the legendary Grave Digger. Drivers say getting to maneuver the enormous vehicles is a blast.

"In the smaller arenas like this, normally we start off by doing wheelies and actually seeing who can drag their tailgate across the top of their cars," says truck driver Mat Dishman, "so that's kind of a fun event to do, it kind of lets everybody get a see for what the trucks are capable of doing. Then we go into the racing, and that's when you put your foot to the floor and letting it do what it's built for."
