District 1 Commissioner Lonzy Edwards Announced He's Running For Another Term

MACON,Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -During a news conference today, District 1 Commissioner Lonzy Edwards announced he's running for another term. Commissioner Edwards represents both east and south Bibb County, and has served since 2007. Edwards made the announcement at the commissioner's board room in the Bibb County Courthouse.
" As I'm sure the voters know there are significant challenges before us, we just recently past our SPLOST and I think it is critically important we have responsible leadership over seeing how that money is spent, there are a number of other issues facing our community and I just want to be apart of the leadership of our community as we go forward trying to address the many things that confront us", said Commissioner Edwards.
The Primary election is July 31st.
