Macon Community Voices Communication Concerns at Code for America Forum

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Tonight, technology was the talk of the town in Macon.

Three fellows working with city leaders and citizens in the Code for America program opened the floor to resident comments, concerns, and suggestions.

"There's so much information in so many different places," says Macon resident, Susan Martin.

The fellows want input from the community so they can put together new technology programs, like phone applications and websites, that will create a one-stop-shop for residents who want to know what's going on in the government.

"It sounds like people really want to be able to check in on projects, and know where money is going and who's doing what and making that kind of information accessible and easy to understand," says Fellow, Jessica Lord.

Macon resident, Danny Glover, says that making information available will encourage more young adults to get involved in government. If you have more ideas on what you want to see happen, you can directly e-mail the fellows at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
