MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- Superintendent Romain Dallemand unveiled his strategic plan to improve Bibb County Schools. Dallemand is focusing on 6 core areas that includes: students, staff, parents and community, technology, and teaching and learning.
The ultimate goal of his strategic plan is have a 100% graduation rate by 2023.
The plan includes more than 300 cuts to teaching positions and 12 facility closures. That goal is to save around $23 million by 2018.
Dallemand says his idea is to build a new school system. He also plans to have all students learn Mandarin and start meeting with college counselors by the 4th grade.
