Local Business Owner Running for Bibb County Chair

Today, a local businessman throws his name in the race for Chair of Bibb County Commission.

President and CEO of Core Management Resource Group, Tom Wagoner, believes his business background makes him the best candidate to run the county. Wagoner says he knows how to build and break down a budget properly. He's been running his company for more than 20 years. The experience, he says, is necessary for this role.

"The biggest problem the Bibb County Commissioners got is lack of leadership. You've got to put someone in the chairman's position who understands what leadership is all about," says Wagoner.

Wagoner believes in consolidating Macon and Bibb County. He says if elected, he wants to keep a close eye on the allocation of the SPLOST money. He says he wouldn't accept a salary or car from the county.
