Skin absorbs products within 10 seconds of being applied, which is why Pure Skin & Body Spa is looking to educate the public on organic products.
Co-Owner Anne Bragg says, "So much of the problems that people have today, are really things they are doing themselves and then that causes a reaction and then everything is out of balance."
Everything the spa offers is organic enough to eat, because the products are made from ingredients that are found in nature.
Aathira Thukalan, an employee at Pure Skin & Body, says, "All the products that we use can be recycled, and they're biodegradable. Also, it's not like your adding to the waste of the pollution or anything."
Products like Shampoo and make-up are all "green". Thukalan says, even the hairspray the spa offers is organic, meaning users don't have to worry about harming the environment.
Pure Skin & Body's goal is to stop using harsh chemicals. Bragg says, "It's one more thing that you're not putting into your body that your organs have to deal with or your skin has to deal with."
Bragg also says the latest beauty trend is removing age spots, which is a process that can take a toll on your skin, but she found a chemical free way to take care of the procedure. Bragg says, "When you use a laser to remove dark spots you're using pure light. It's non-invasive."
These natural processes are healthier and not as expensive as you might think, according to Bragg some of the services offered at the spa are around 30% less than their chemical counterparts.
Pure Skin & Body also offers tattoo and hair removals.
