NEW YORK (AP) - The surviving members of an Iranian rock band in New York City say they're paralyzed with grief over the shooting deaths of their drummer and guitarist.
The Yellow Dogs said in a statement Wednesday that the past few days have been the darkest hours of their lives.
Police say two members who were brothers and their roommate were killed by a former member of another Iranian rock band. He opened fire and then killed himself on the roof of their Brooklyn apartment.
The two surviving members weren't there at the time.
They said they all came to the U.S. with the hope of building a strong artistic community. They say everything they had worked for was finally coming true and they are devastated.
They are planning a memorial service.
