Local Businessman Wants a Seat at the State Capitol

Wednesday a local businessman announced he's running for State Representative.  Vice President of Reynolds Foodliner Tom Coogle plans to run for District 139.  Coogle wants to revitalize the Macon County community.

"As an official, I can help work with the county commissioners in our counties to provide better incentive programs to these business, and help them understand what business needs because I am a business person," said Tom Coogle, candidate.

Coogle is running for the seat currently held by Rep. Lynmore James who's been in office for 20 years.  Rep. James says he's leaving politics to spend more time with his family.  James is endorsing Patti Bentley to take his seat.

The Primary Election is July 31.
