Candidates for Warner Robins City Council Answer Voter Questions at Open Forum

Tonight, residents of Warner Robins got a closer look at their next city leaders.

A public forum sponsored by the Coalition of Concerned Citizens in Houston County, featured 10 of the 11 candidates for city council in a panel-style question and answer session. Jeffrey Walker, who's running for Post 2, was not present.

Voters present at City Hall wrote down questions. Each candidate running for seats in Posts 2, 4, and 6 had two minutes to answer.

"I also like that the candidates focused on making sure that our tax dollars are spent well, transparency in government, and ethics," says resident, Fenika Miller.

In a response to questions about the recent pay study by the Carl Vinson Institute, Miller says candidates agreed that the city employees need to be properly compensated for their work. She also says she's impressed with their desire to fix the problem.
