Endorsements Roll-In for Senate District 26 Candidates

Friday several political figures threw their support behind David Lucas in the race for senate. Current and former leaders talked about their experience working with Lucas, and they all said his track record is what sets him apart from his opponent, Miriam Paris. Former representative, and 28 year veteran in the house Georganna Sinkfield stressed the significance of Lucas' fight for the people he represents.
"So David Lucas has stood for women and children and families for all the years he's been up there. Not only just stood, he has fought hard for those things," said Georganna Sinkfield.
Macon City Council President James Timley was among those who endorsed Lucas for Senate at today's event.
Also today, Georgia's WIN List endorsed Miriam Paris for senate. The group said they chose Paris for her long history of community service and experience with local government.
